Is the Golfing Season too Long?

Although golf fans really love watching the game and their favorite golfers perfomr in the major tournaments, with all the injuries which have been taking place recently, to the major players of the game, many are wondering if the seson is too long, and whether or not there should be some tournaments which are cut out of the majors, which the big golfers play in. With the large amount of injuries, many players are cutting back on how many tournaments they enter a year anyway; so, why not just cut the season short and cut the loses, since fans are not going to watch these tournaments anyway, if the big name players are not even playing.

If the season was cut shorter it would make for better competition, players would prepare more for the big tournaments, and they would be able to focus their attention on one tournament, rather than five or six, making it easier for them to perform well. Plus, injuries would not nearly be as high as they currently are, and players would be able to play the game long. So, in short, cutting the golfing season would benefit both the players and the fans who watch.
